Spain

CLARET school in Las Palmas is a large school divided into three different sections:Nursery, Primary and Secondary School. It is a Catholic school  and values such as love, justice and peace are our priority. It is a school considered to be as one of the best ones in our province and it is always on the best school rankings which are held in Spain every year. Our families are middle or low-middle class ones(we also have about 80 children’s immigrants and are willing to take in more in the next few years). The main reasons why our families have chosen this school for their children are:
- High academic qualification
- Discipline
- Family care
- Religious Education
- Sports Education
- School facilities

Motivation
We want our students to learn from others, to cooperate with them so that our young European citizens learn from each other and teach them that the world we live in should be more global than what it really is , especially under the difficult economical circumstances the European Economy is going through.

Our school is also undertaking the CLIL subjects at school. Art and Craft is already a CLIL subject our Primary Students are working on and the school is on the way to introduce some others in Secondary School as well.

We also have families at school coming from other countries because their  families were looking for a better life for them, mainly from South America, Ireland…(About 80 all together),so it would also be good for them and for us to open more doors. That’s why we do think that this project can help them to know and understand our rights and responsibilities within this global community and also about the basic human needs and VALUES that should apply to everyone.
