Day 1

It was the arrival day, but just the Italians
and the Spanish had arrived, they arrived on Sunday. We met the Netherlands
and the English at 1 o’clock
after the lessons in the forum. We had lunch together and so we also made new
friends from different countries. Then, we were divided in 6 groups to do a
treasure hunt. It took 2 hours and we were walking to different sights in Lemgo
like the ‘Junkerhaus’ or the St. Nicolai church. With this game all the
students learned something about Lemgo: The Germans learned more things about
their town and the exchange partners learned how the life in Lemgo and the
culture of the town is. Teachers and teenagers were very excited about the new
experience and all were interested in that.
At 4
o’clock we finished the game and went to the forum again. There,
the parents were waiting for us to go home. Then at home some students watched
films, others went cycling or finding out what their exchange partners hobbies
were. And at last the host families ate something with their guests and then
the guests (they were very tired because of the long journey to Germany)
went to bed…
